  • Stress Cleanse IN PARADISE

It’s no surprise that we all experience a suffocating amount of stress daily. Whether it’s stress within our family relationships, political, work, financial, medical or emotional, we all feel a similar desperation. We feel out of touch with ourselves, lethargic, annoyed, and void of real purpose. Stress reactions are one of the most cyclical and debilitating patterns in our lives. The stress we endure increases then so does the strain on navigating our responsibilities that facilitated the stress in the first place—the cycle continues to spiral out of control. • 5 Ways to Hydrate without Drinking Water

Do you drink enough water? Some people forget to drink it, are too busy, or just don’t like the taste. You might want to rethink this if you feel tired, lightheaded and experience headaches throughout the day because those are all signs of dehytration. Why is dehydration something to avoid? Our body is composed of nearly 70 percent water; it is found in every one of our 100 trillion cells. Water regulates body temperature, lubricates your joints and aids in the digestion process. So, without the essential fluids needed for our body to run smoothly, organs can become damaged and systems don’t function properly. If you have a hard time drinking water and would prefer some healthy alternatives to hydrate your body, here are some options. There is no true substitute for water, but these are good ways to supplement your fluid intake. 1. Freshly Squeezed Juice Have you ever tried a glass of freshly squeezed carrot juice with ginger? Or if that’s not quite your style, try a fresh orange juice. You can get an inexpensive device to squeeze the juice from oranges (or lemons and limes) and then add it to water. Or mix it with your other favorite juices like pineapple or cranberry. There is no end to the combinations you can make and add to your water bottle. Always watch the labels if you’re purchasing bottled juice, and choose the ones “not from concentrate” and without high-fructose corn syrup or artificial flavors. Mixing juice with water tones down the sugar content, which is healthier for your blood sugar levels, and will make your juice last longer. 2. Soups Slurp a light vegetable soup as a snack in the mid-morning or afternoon to boost your water intake and energy levels. Use high water content vegetables such as celery, cucumber, iceberg lettuce, tomato, and zucchini. Or blend everything up and take it in a thermos as something tasty and hydrating to sip on all day. 3. Smoothies Make a smoothie with high water content fruits, including blueberries, oranges, peaches, pineapples, plums, raspberries, cantaloupes, and watermelon. Add water instead of the usual thickeners like dairy, soy, rice, or almond milk. Remember, you want this to be like a fruity, jazzed-up glass of water, so make a big batch and let it last for several hours. Here's a great healthy smoothie recipe 4. Coconut Water Coconut water is an excellent way to rehydrate the body, especially after exercise. The coconut contains minerals and vitamins to restore fluid balance, namely electrolytes. You can find coconut water in most grocery stores. Look for the brands that don’t add sugar. 5. Herbal Teas If you want a break from juicing (and chopping and mixing), then simply brew yourself a cup of tea. Good options include chamomile, peppermint, or nettle tea. For hot summer days, cool them in the fridge for a homemade iced tea. Again, there is no limit to the choices and varieties of teas you can drink. Mix them up so that you’re never bored with the taste. More importantly, you will provide the body with the fluids and hydration it needs, even if you’re not a “water drinker.” YOU MIGHT LIKE THESE RELATED VIDEOS Eleanor Healy is a writer with a passion for holistic health and a registered holistic nutritionist. • 50% of Heart Attack Victims have NORMAL CHOLESTEROL... Detect Your Risk with PULS Test

A Medical Innovation that is sweeping the nation. The PULS Cardiac Test can help prevent a heart attack - starting now. Did you know? 50% of Heart Attack victims have normal cholesterol. That’s because multiple factors in addition to cholesterol are required to determine the underlying cause of Heart Attack. How can you really be sure that your heart is in good condition? There's now a test that can detect your risk of a heart attack within 5 years. Finally, there's a blood test for the leading cause of Heart Attacks: Unstable Cardiac Lesion Rupture. PULS Cardiac Test measures different blood markers that have been shown to accurately assess cardiac health so that you can change your lifestyle before a life-changing event such as a massive heart attack. Douglas Harrington MD, My Wellness by Nature Medical Board Member, has developed an amazing new way to detect if you're at risk of a heart attack within the next 5 years. How is this test different than standard cardiac health testing? Traditional blood tests only test a few indications of cardiac problems. The PULS (Protein Unstable Lesion Signature) Test measures the most clinically-significant protein biomarkers that measure the body's immune system response to arterial injury. These injuries lead to the formation and progression of cardiac lesions which may become unstable and rupture, leading to cardiac event. What are Unstable Cardiac Lesions and how do they form? Unstable Cardiac Lesions form within the artery wall over time, often without any signs or symptoms, through a process of continuous arterial injury and repair. The PULS Cardiac Test Gives You: Your PULS Profile Your personalized 5-Year Cardiac Profile of Unstable Cardiac Lesion Rupture (Heart Attack). Your Heart Age Your “Heart Age” which shows your Cardiac Score relative to your Age and Gender group. Recommended Lifestyle Changes Recommended lifestyle modifications that may help maintain or improve your current cardiac health. REQUEST YOUR PULS TEST

  • Nobel-Winning Breakthrough For Cardiac Patients

ProArgi-9+, known as "the world's highest quality l-arginine supplement," has become an international best-seller for its abilities to support cardiovascular function, build the body’s defenses, and more. Numerous studies have shown the cardiovascular benefits of l-arginine, however scientists at the Hughes Center for Research and Innovation made several remarkable discoveries on Synergy’s ProArgi-9+ formula, showing that ProArgi-9+ can do what l-arginine cannot do on its own. Following these discoveries, Nature’s Sunshine filed a United States provisional patent application to ensure that Synergy maintained exclusive rights to this iconic formula. Dr. Matthew Tripp, Nature’s Sunshine’s former Chief Scientific Officer, shared some insights into these discoveries. “Numerous studies have shown the cardiovascular benefits of l-arginine. However, our preliminary in vitro and human studies showed that the unique combination of ingredients in our ProArgi-9+ formula enhances the effects of l-arginine within the body in several ways.” An Unparalleled Formula ProArgi-9+ is packed with a potent array of ingredients including l-arginine, l-citrulline, and vitamin C. During clinical studies, The Hughes Center for Research found that the unique, synergistic combination of ProArgi-9+ ingredients can "significantly and rapidly increase" the body’s production of nitric oxide—a vital component to maintaining a healthy cardiovascular system. The Incredible Molecule Nitric oxide is a molecular compound that can help relax blood vessels, helping to regulate normal range blood pressure and enhance circulation to vital organs. As you age, your body loses its innate ability to produce nitric oxide, resulting in thicker arteries and plaque buildup. Studies show that aging and poor diet can affect the metabolic systems responsible for producing nitric oxide, causing them to work less effectively. However, nitric oxide helps to maintain high blood flow and keeps artery walls smooth and flexible. Healthy levels of this incredible molecule are important for proper vasodilation, along with blood pressure, muscle, heart and central nervous system function. Additionally, nitric oxide helps to enhance intestinal function. Its ability to improve blood flow to vital organs includes aiding your large and small intestine. This increased circulation helps promote better digestion and absorption of vital nutrients into the body. As such, nitric oxide enables your body to efficiently transfer nutrients and successfully convert it to energy. The clinical studies performed by the Hughes Center have showcased the incredible proficiency of ProArgi-9+ and its unique ability to bolster overall cardiovascular function, as seen in our ProArgi-9+ Science Information Sheet. Backed by Synergy's quality guarantee, ProArgi-9+ contains the perfect combination of ingredients to support cardiovascular function. We invite you to put Synergy's ProArgi-9+ to the test, using its benefits on your journey to unlock your full potential, and achieve Elite Health. SHOP PROARGI-9+

  • Genius Foods to Outsmart Dementia

BY MARILYN MURRAY WILLISON September 10, 2020 “Your brain requires a tremendous amount of fuel to function properly. Despite its relatively tiny mass—2 to 3 percent of your body’s total volume—it accounts for 20 to 25 percent of your resting metabolic rate. Beating the cruel disease of Alzheimer's is more possible with the right insight It’s no secret that when I come across an amazing book, I feel compelled to sing its praises to anyone who will listen. I’m practically a professional proselytizer for the publishing industry. (How’s that for alliteration?) The latest book that I’m urging everyone—especially baby boomers—to read is “Genius Foods: Become Smarter, Happier, and More Productive While Protecting Your Brain for Life.” I first saw the author, Max Lugavere, on an episode of “The Dr. Oz Show” talking about his film “Bread Head,” which followed his immersion into the world of Alzheimer’s disease after his mother was diagnosed with a mysterious form of dementia in her 50s. Now that his book has been published, we can all benefit from what he learned during his journey to better understand how to help his mother and protect himself—and the rest of us—from this cruel illness. In case you’re wondering which 10 readily available foods fall into the “Genius Making” category, here is a cheat sheet: Extra-virgin olive oil Avocados Blueberries Dark chocolate Eggs Grass-fed beef Dark, leafy greens Broccoli Wild salmon Almonds The book is divided into three parts: • You are what you eat • The interconnectedness of it all (your brain response), and • Putting yourself in the driver’s seat In the first part, we learn about which foods best protect our brain’s cellular makeup. In the second part, we learn about the interconnectedness between our gut and our brain cells, and why what we eat affects every aspect of our body’s performance and well-being. And in the last section, we learn about ways to create “a more robust organism” and receive instructions on how to eat and live, according to “The Genius Plan.” The recipes at the end of the book are easy to follow and incorporate ingredients that help keep brain tissue happy and healthy. But this book isn’t all about what we put in our mouths, because there are plenty of sensible suggestions about non-dietary ways to enhance our brain health. For example: “Involving more than 2,000 people who were followed over 20 years, the study (published in 2016 in the journal Age and Aging) showed that sauna use four to seven times per week led to a 65 percent reduced risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia, even after controlling for other variables like Type-2 diabetes, socioeconomic status, and cardiovascular risk factors.” We also learn about the benefits of both aerobic and anaerobic exercise, the effect of intermittent fasting on our overall health and our emotional equilibrium. In addition to all the information contained within this 388-page book, one of its nicest features is the conversational tone that allows readers to feel as if they are sharing in Lugavere’s discoveries, rather than being lectured by an authority figure. In closing, here is a very good reason, as Lugavere writes, for us to pay as much attention to our brain cells as we do to the rest of our bodies: This means that one-quarter of the oxygen you breathe and the food you eat is being used to create energy to fuel your brain’s many processes. Whether studying for a test, preparing for a speech, or swiping through your favorite dating app, your brain is burning through fuel at the same rate as the leg muscles during a marathon race.” Marilyn Murray Willison has had a varied career as a six-time nonfiction author, columnist, motivational speaker, and journalist in both the UK. and the U.S. She is the author of “The Self-Empowered Woman” blog and the award-winning memoir “One Woman, Four Decades, Eight Wishes.” She can be reached at MarilynWillison.com. • An Express Travel Workout

Our active lifestyle shouldn't stop when we are traveling. Take advantage of the new scenery and new terrain, but be prepared. Here are 5 Things I pack to make my active lifestyle work while traveling: A quality magnesium supplement--to help with leg cramps or muscle soreness from working new muscles. (new terrain, new muscle stress) Travel pack of laundry detergent to care for an re-use your workout attire. This also allows you more room in your luggage (less clothing items.) A ball cap or visor for sun protection. (This one is separate from the fashion caps--this one gets sweaty.) Sunscreen (made for the face that won't run into your eyes when you sweat. A stick kind travels well.) Active sunglasses--again, not your fashion shades. You need some that will stay on your face while being active and sweating. My Oakleys are for activity and my Ray Ban aviators are for fashion. Both go everywhere with me. Enjoy this favorite workout routine, filmed in Cabo San Lucas, but can be used at any seaside resort. Give it a try and let me know where you're working out from! Have fun! SEE ALL YOGA VIDEOS

  • Habits that Age Your Body Quicker

The pattern of our daily life can decide if we age more quickly, or ease into our golden years. It’s easy to ask what you can do to look and feel younger. It’s harder to look at what you’re already doing to accelerate aging. Chronological aging is a fact of life. Years climb as they pass, and there is nothing you can do about it. The years will lead to some natural decline, but how much impact they have has a lot to do with how you live. On the other side of chronological age, there is biological age. This is how your cells and organs age. In some cases, they are well behind your chronological age. In other cases, they are far ahead. You could have a series of habits that accelerate your biological age. The signs might be showing up on your face and how you feel. But if you don’t know how these factors are affecting you, how can you do anything about them? Some of the factors that could be leading you to look and feel older include: Poor Sleep Inadequate sleep can affect how your skin looks and body feels. It also promotes higher levels of the stress hormone cortisol that can break down collagen, promote inflammation, and suck the energy from your day. Tips for better sleep Unhealthy Diet A healthy diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, healthy fats, and protein can help keep you strong, prevent heart disease, slow cell oxidation, prevent Type 2 diabetes, and combat chronic inflammation that taxes your system. Here's one thing you can change today Inactivity The more you get out and move, the healthier your body is. Activity helps keep muscles strong, blood moving, and keeps you energized and enthused. Try Yoga from the comfort of your own home Isolation Maintaining meaningful emotional relationships with friends and family can also help you fight back against biological aging. Connections to others help keep your mood up, ease stress, and may slow down cognitive decline. IMPROVE YOUR WELLNESS WITH SMALL CHANGES. There's never a better time to begin a healthier path to living longer! Explore Generation Wellness and start making those changes for a lifestyle of wellness! These are just a few factors that can influence aging. Depending on your lifestyle, you could be accelerating aging or slowing the aging process down. Take a look at what you’re doing and how it could be affecting the aging process. Start your wellness path now with small daily changes just like these for BIG RESULTS.
