More About Our Contributor Plan Features

What is IV therapy?

IV Vitamin Infusion Therapy involves inserting an IV line into a vein in your arm or hand to administer a high concentration of liquid vitamins, antioxidants, amino acids, and minerals into your bloodstream. The therapy may be for only one vitamin of a combination of nutrients.

Does IV therapy really work?

Absolutely! IV Vitamin drips deliver essential nutrients, amino acids and other ingredients directly into your bloodstream. This gives your body a much higher concentration of vitamins compared to absorption from eating or drinking. When you take vitamins by mouth, there’s a limit as to how much actually gets absorbed (this can be affected by genetics, overall health, age, metabolism, and other factors) roughly only 35-50%. IV vitamins get absorbed much more quickly and at a much higher percentage (90-98%).

What are the benefits of IV therapy?

Some of the IV Therapy benefits are:

  • IV Infusion Therapy improves your overall wellness by providing almost 100% of the vitamins and nutrients your body needs to:
  • Improve Immune health
  • Boost energy levels
  • Improve symptoms of Depression
  • Improve anxiety
  • Improve mental clarity and cognitive function
  • Improves skin health
  • And much more!!

Is IV vitamin therapy it safe?

Yes! IV therapy is completely safe! Our Ingredients are provided by reputable and accredited pharmacies and suppliers. Everything is prepared in house by our Registered Nurse and overseen by our Medical Director.

Are there side effects of IV Vitamin Therapy?

Side effects are rare and usually minor. Some side effects may include: bruising and soreness around the injection area, cooling of the arm where fluid is administered, metallic taste in the mouth and/or a brief flushed feeling. Less common side effects include the risk of infection to insertion site or allergic reaction to the IV treatment. All side effects are short lived and completely treatable.

What is the most common complication of IV therapy?

If someone is severely dehydrated, it may not be easy to start an IV on this person. Veins can be very tricky and have a mind of their own when they are not properly hydrated. A common complication is that our Registered Nurse may not be able to start an IV due to this reason. It is our goal to hydrate every single person that comes to Atlantic Med Spa, but then again, not everyone is a candidate.

Do IVs hurt?

Treatments are painless and entail a swift pinch as the needle enters the vein. Most patients state they hardly feel any discomfort at all! Our experienced nursing staff at Atlantic Med Spa will make your IV infusion as pleasant as possible.

How often can you get IV therapy?

Frequently. This depends on your hydration needs and your choice of IV therapy. Our nursing staff will discuss which options are best for you. Weekly, biweekly, or monthly treatments and devise a total wellness plan that is right for you.

What can I expect during my IV hydration treatment?

Once you enter our office, you will be greeted and directed to our Lounge area to choose a seat/private room to relax in. Our nurse will go over all options of our custom IV therapy treatments to choose from. We will go over the benefits of the IV Infusion you choose pricing. Our nurse will then have you fill out our mandatory office paperwork which includes a brief medical history (medications, allergies, ect). Our nurse will take a set of vitals, and then start the IV process. Once IV is successfully inserted, it is time for you to relax. Our nurse will monitor you throughout the whole infusion process. Once the IV is finished, our nurse will start the IV removal process and take post IV vitals. Once finished, you are free to leave and enjoy the rest of your day!

Is IV therapy better than taking vitamins orally?

Yes! When you take vitamins orally, your body has to metabolize them as they go through your digestive system. Since infusion therapy is injected directly into your bloodstream, your body absorbs a higher percentage of the nutrients.

How soon will I see results?

Depending on your hydration status, you may see dramatic effects immediately after your first IV treatment. Once you start receiving regular IV therapy and your body becomes efficient in maximizing your hydration balance, results will feel less dramatic.

Can I receive IV therapy while taking other medications?

Yes. We take a full medical patient history so we know what medications you are on and if anything will interact with any of our ingredients. Certain medications promote minor to moderate reactions but our nurses are aware of what medications/medical issues to look for.

Is IV therapy safe for children?

Yes. IV infusions are safe for children. Here at Atlantic Med Spa we do have age requirements. Our age limit is eighteen years and older. Sixteen and seventeen years of age will require parental consent. Fifteen years and younger will require a doctor's order.

Does insurance cover IV therapy?

Some insurance plans cover IV hydration therapy and vitamin infusions, depending on your medical needs. Check with your insurance provider to see if you are eligible for coverage on hydration therapy. We do accept Care Credit and HSA plans.

How long do Vitamin IV Therapy treatments take?

With our Full (1000ml) IV Infusions the average time from start to finish with this treatment ranges anywhere from 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes. Our Mini (500ml) IV Infusion takes an average time of 30-45 minutes. This again all depends on how dehydrated you are and how well your body absorbs the infusion.

Who administers the vitamin shots and intravenous treatments?

Shots and IV treatments are given by our experienced nursing staff. Each treatment protocol will be designed and approved by our Medical Director.

What is NAD+ Therapy?

NAD is a coenzyme – a non protein compound molecule necessary for proper functioning of an enzyme. NAD affects metabolic processes and many different body systems including digestion, cognition, aging and more. NAD also helps your body’s own neurotransmitters regulate moods, and can help relieve symptoms of anxiety or depression. Studies have shown NAD IV therapy can have a wide range of benefits including improved neurological function, more effective weight loss, better energy levels and more

What is the difference between the Lipo B injection and the Lipo C injection?

The Lipo B injection helps you lose weight by encouraging your liver to break down fat more effectively. And the Lipo C injection has been shown to boost metabolism to improve fat burning and support a healthy immune and proper hormone function. It sounds very similar, but they both work differently.

Lipo B is a compound of MIC ( Methionine, Inositol, and Chloride) while Lipo C has MIC, B-Complex, and Carnitine.

Lipo B will give you more of an increase of energy with the B-12 while Lipc C will work to better regulate hormone function.

The Lipo injection reviews have reported losing between 2 to 4 pounds a week.
