Amazing Results

Hyperbaric oxygen is not just for one specific
use or age group.  Patients enjoy using the therapy for inflammation reduction, wound healing and overall wellness.

How Can Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Help Me?

FDA Approved Treatment for Multiple Conditions

During a hyperbaric oxygen treatment, the patient lies in a hyperbaric chamber for between 60-90 minutes, during which the atmospheric pressure is slowly increased. During the treatments, you breathe 100% pure oxygen. Under normal conditions, hemoglobin carries oxygen to all the body’s cells. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy saturates the serum in the blood vessels that carry hemoglobin, enabling them to deliver 10-15 times more oxygen. This saturates the body’s tissues – reversing hypoxia (low oxygen levels) – and creates cell healing.

Change the Future of Your Wellness

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a medical treatment administered by delivering 95% oxygen at pressures greater than two to three times the normal atmospheric (sea level) pressure to a patient in an enclosed chamber.  During a treatment, oxygen under pressure fills the hyperbaric chamber, increasing the oxygen concentration within a person’s body 15 to 20 times normal at the cellular level.  Increased oxygen tension accelerates the healing process and aids in recovery from certain conditions. HBOT has few side effects, most of which are transient or manageable.

HBOT has been clearly demonstrated to foster new blood vessel formation and to increase immune capabilities, assisting patients with problems ranging from chronic wounds to radiation injury, severe bone infections and neurological impairments.  With the addition of  HBOT, all body fluids (plasma, lymph, cerebrospinal, interstitial fluids) become capable of oxygen delivery thereby facilitating the healing process.

Athletes Using HBOT for Brain Injury from Sports

HBOT is being studied in the treatment of concussion and post-concussion syndrome with promising results. Concussion, a mild traumatic brain injury, is a common sports injury. In concussion, the brain tissue is bruised when it impacts the inflexible skull due to a blow or jolt to the head causing an inflammatory response and swelling of the tissue as the brain responds to injury. The rationale for the use HBOT is based on its ability to dramatically increase, by 2-3 times, the delivery of oxygen to injured brain tissues to promote healing, and reduce swelling, inflammation and increased pressure in the brain.
